Welcome lad!!!!!

Another newcomer this year for St. Pauli is the middle fielder (right-wing) Michael Görlitz. Michael was born in Nürnberg on 08/05/1987 and started playing football in the U17 team of Nürnberg.

On 2002 he continued his youth career in Bayern Munich (no link for you here, fuck Bayern!!!!!) where he stayed until 2005 because Bayern promoted him on the second team. For the next three years, Michael played 35 times and managed to score 4 goals. For the 2008/09 season he was offered a position in Sweden for Halmstads BK (unfortunately, there is no English or German version for their site).

He made his debut for Halmstads BK on 11 August 2008 against Helsingborgs IF (there must be something wrong between the Swedish people and the English language), scoring once and receiving the MVP title of the match. By the end of the year, back in November 22nd, Michael was also crowned as Halmstads’ player of the year.

Unfortunately things turned worst for Michael’s team, and upon his contract expiration, while Halmstads BK was relegated in the Superettan (Something in English about something Swedish, at last), he moved back to Germany to play for FSV Frankfurt. He signed a contract on January 2012 and after 67 appearances and 11 goals he finally started thinking more clearly and decided to join St. Pauli for the next two years.

Let’s hope that Michael will manage to include himself in the club’s top scorers of the season, forcing St. Pauli administration to a contract renewal by the middle of 2016.
