Welcome (back) lad!!!!!

Lasse was born in Schwerte on 18/01/1991, his main position is centre back and he made his first football steps in VfL Schwerte. Back then this young boy proved that he deserves to be given a chance to go pro some day so he found his place in Borussia Dortmund’s youth squad on 2003.

On 2009 he was promoted in Borussia’a second team, playing back then for the third league, where he had 32 appearances as a regular and he even managed to score once against VfL Osnabrück. His season with the second team was a complete success, and Borussia’s administration decided to promote him on the first team but, unfortunately, he missed season’s 2010/11 preparation due to an accident that took place in the Port of Hamburg when his leg were rammed by a tour boat while he was dangling his feet in the water. Borussia won the German championship that year, and although Lasse was technically part of the team, he never got a chance to play.

In order to gain back the lost season, Lasse extended his contract with Borussia and moved, on loan, to St. Pauli (visit number 1) for season 2011/12 as a reserve and he managed to play in matches. On season 2012/13 he moved, on loan again, to the newly promoted in Bundesliga Greuther Fürth where he played in 24 matches and scored 2 goals.

Following his season with Greuther, his contract with Borussia ended and upon his release he signed a three year contract with Hamburger SV (I know the link is wrong but it suits HSV best). After 10 appearances and 1 goal, Lasse paid us a visit again (visit number 2), on loan of course, for the 2014/15 season.

I really feel that Lasse will not be much of a help but I hope I’m wrong.
