Above all……Attitude

Debut game for Markus Kauczinski sitting on the Sankt Pauli bench. Our beloved Soridon was up for renovations (a freakin’ barbecue facility at last, right Greg??…Hahahahahahahahahaha). So anyway our joint was busy, so we visited our fellow comrades in the Athens Club , downtown, to watch the game together. Have to admit I’ve never been to their joint since a long time. Their new place in Locomotiva (moved upstairs before a huge flat screen TV)  is really exquisite I have to say. Not precisely what I’d say about the game though. Not good, not bad, it’s just that the attitude of some players seems a bit out of the team for a reason. Let me explain.

I was lucky enough to be inside Vonovia Ruhrstadion last May when Ewald Lienen named with a gesture Olaf Janßen as his successor (in fact he was nominated already some months ago), in front of a blissful guest block, during Sonderzug 2017. Now, almost 6 months later, the story ends with the worst possible ending…

Circus…

This is actually not fair. An average circus show is much more organized than the brown white mob that we witnessed yesterday stumbling on each other and becoming totally humiliated by Arminia Bielefeld in the 2nd half. There are actually no words (at least I don’t have them) to describe the pitiful spectacle of FCSP after the 2nd goal and especially towards the end of the match… We never had big aspirations regarding FCSP success, a carefree Liga 2 ride is good enough, still this season is suddenly turning much different (unfortunately to the worse) than we expected…

We had it coming!

It should have been sweet. It should have been us with the three points now but noooo sir. No way. We had to make our lives interesting in a bad way. Cos I don’t think there’s anyone out there that truly believed, Greuther Fürth could harm us in any way. Especially this particular Greuther Fürth whose technical director is none other than our former master of disaster, Mr Rachid Azzouzi , whose skills are brighter than the brighter star (Ooohahahahahohohoh). Their position in the ranks proves our saying (Second last). What happened in  the game proved that arrogance is a punishable sin.

Bitter Sweet

FCSP paid the simply indescribable entry to the game and ended up with a home 2-2 draw vs Jahn Regensburg, in a match that could end in better way but could aso have gone a lot worse. A full weekend, a full of emotions match but, as the picture above suggests in a metaphoric way, something is missing from the Millerntor… Read on one way or another, a lot of stuff in there this time 😉

Scheiße

Saturday Matchday is combined with super fast running after work to the subway, hoping to make it to  the first train with no delay, aiming for a quick change on the second train and then running all the way from the station til Soridon where everyone awaits for the first whistle of the game hoping for the three points after two ties (Noooot!).

666

This is kinky! 666 and the Sleeping Beauty? Well, everything’s there for a reason 🙂 666 is not relative to the known Scum despise towards and kind of religion but rather to the known Millerntor “problem” that we already discussed on Matchday 10 and was perfectly put in numbers after full time by St. Pauli Stats on Twitter. 6 games, 6 goals, 6 points… Who’s the Sleeping Beauty? Not Tiamat’s Sleeping beauty dummy, it’s our defense of course 🙂

The kids are alright

A decimated FCSP got the away draw on Monday night after a game that we deserved to get more of it. Alright, maybe an away draw is below our season standards but, considering our injury list and the flow of the game, it’s not bad, not bad at all. Providing that our injury jinx will not last match longer (hmmm…), seems at the moment that this squad is probably not able to hunt for promotion (something that we actually don’t really care about as Scum) but can guarantee to the fans a “relaxed” season (this sounds more significant ^^), away from the agony of 2014-15 and 2016-17 😉
