The perfect Brown White Suicide yesterday evening at the Stadion an Der Alten Försterei, two top class blunders turned victory to defeat and signaled the end of a course in the Pokal that some of us hadn’t witnessed while we are around. This is football, this is life, mistakes cost, let’s keep the lessons learnt and move on 😎
Alright, title is not ours, it’s the reaction of Knolle (take it easy, calls himself like that at least a decade before Knoll 😁), an old pal from the Athens Club. Of course, draw seems a little dreadful (if you ask me, Union would be the last opponent that I would pick) but in this year of Brown White Madness, danger is a word that we don’t know. Suicidal Commando mission to the Alten Försterei then, to clear the path in view of our second and final visit 👊🏾☠️

Yeah, yeah, of course we were full of the usual Scum bollockology before the match (“6 goals” and similar stuff) but the truth is that I’m still trying to digest what we all saw yesterday evening, FCSP disqualifying BVB fair and square, after a game in which agony towards the end was actually more a result of the opponent’s name than actual pressure by them. Where does this stop? Don’t ask us, ask Timo and the rest of the bunch 😎
Wellll…that wasn’t really necessary 😅 After proving that we’re not the laughing stock of DFB Pokal anymore, bar suddenly raised really high. Alright, a club has to do what a club has to do but we could have them in the final just fine, that wasn’t really necessary 😁 On the other hand, someone more cynic could argue that it’s better to play with the big boys for serious glory than to go down to Munich and endanger our brand new “not the laughing stock of DFB Pokal anymore” reputation. It’s Borussia Dortmund then, challenge accepted ☠️

We may made our lives difficult on our own but we eventually completed the job. Extra time away victory over Dynamo (🖕🏾🖕🏾🖕🏾) and qualification to the last 16 of the DFB Pokal for the first time since 2005-6 season. Not sure if we’re going as far as we went back then (semi finals) but now all bets related to our outrageous recent Pokal tradition are off. This squad, having shown a remarkable consistency overall and having punished all the bad guys so far, has earned the right to think a little bigger 😎
Yes, you could say that we were lucky. No Bundesliga multimillion monster, no Regionalliga Executioner, just…Dynamo Dresden 😎 Providing that we will be as serious as we are on an ordinary matchday, it appears that this season we could go past 2nd round ☠️
