End of the road for DFB Pokal this season (about time, a 2nd consecutive advance to 16 would put our Pokal tradition at stake 😇). FCSP almost touched the “miracle” (there are no miracles in the Pokal, all bets are off) but eventually left Europa-Park Stadion without the win. There’s a good reason that the term “empty handed” is not used here 🏴‍☠️

DFB Pokal 2022-23 Rnd 2 draw: yeah, why not, bring it on!

2nd round draw is complete and the outcome is SC Freiburg, currently on top of the Bundesliga. This doesn’t sound of course like the ideal draw but things are the way they are so let’s look at the positive side of things. Alright, there’s no such side 😅 Let’s do this the old way then, talk about challenges, how much can one benefit a squad and all the opportunities hidden behind. In fact, this doesn’t sound that bad when you leave the crap out. We have nothing to lose (except some extra cash), let’s just go there and try to rob the house 😎🤘🏾☠️

We managed to make Straelen look important right? In a game where we clearly had ball possession and definitely were the superior ones in the field having 28 shots on target against 9 from Straelen, we managed to make things difficult. Straelen owes us for boosting up their image to their fans. I mean…They stood up against the team that in the previous season almost made it to Aufstieg. Our defense worked their magic once again making the easy ones look mountain high-hard. In the end a last minute goal from Medic’s back, saved the day…

DFB Pokal 2022-23 Rnd 1 draw: Fear of the unknown (also when it comes to us)

Bloody modern football, not even time to recover from the season that just ended 😆 Well, here you have our opponent for the 1st round of the DFB Pokal, it’s SV Straelen and they’re completely unknown to us. Normally, they shouldn’t represent any problem but the fact that FCSP 2022-23 is unknown to us as well make things a little more complicated ☠️
