Oh it’s good to be back. Less that two weeks before the official season begins, the Scum gathered in Uncle Zouzounos’s lair to watch our beloved Sankt Pauli battle, against Sambaoli’s FC Sevilla. A game we didn’t expect so much off. Just wanted to see the new players perform and how they have blended in with the rest. Hedenstad, Avevor  and Bouhaddouz  are the ones that started in the basic 11. So here we are (at least some of us 😉 ) standing before the TV along with the company of our HH friends, Hans and Mahu, awaiting for the new season.

Belek regroupping: check

Last test for the Boys in Brown in Turkish soil yesterday vs SK Rapid Wien in a game unexpectedly good, considering the circumstances (training mode and again the windy weather). Overall impressions from Belek look good but let’s first see in brief what happened yesterday 😉

OK, don’t get excited 😀

Winter reorganization sessions at their peak and 2nd friendly at Belek yesterday against FC Vaduz from Liechtenstein. Not the best possible time for football on 14:00 CET during a working day (after all, these friendlies aren’t taking place for our pleasure 😀 ), however we managed to watch how the kids are doing, thanks to realtively loose schedule and an even looser firewall 🙂

Finally action!

Yeah, yeah, holidays are fun. Chillout, loved ones, breaking the working routine, etc, etc… Scum says “Bollocks”!!! Holidays are just a period where some of us (FCSP junkies) just try to hold on and work things out during the absence of FCSP and football, using replacements like…the Flensburg indoor tournament 😀 In this respect, torture ended yesterday, with the Boys in Brown stepping again into the pitch for a game vs Lechia Gdańsk and us nailed on the couch, impatiently waiting. What happened? Read on… 🙂

Refugees Welcome!

National team weekend may spoiled our weekly FCSP routine but finally we got some. FCSP vs BVB in Millerntor yesterday evening in a game than will be remembered not for what happened inside the pitch but for what happened all around and the message (reached actually the Greek Sport front pages) that was sent instead. Noone is illegal except maybe those who build walls and borders to divide all the others, in case it’s of any significance BVB won 1-2 🙂

Majestic and promising

After the mediocre win over Austria Lustenau, another friendly stood in our way before the season opening. Rayo Vallecano, all the way from Spain and Primera Division, into Millerntor. Hell’s Bells sounded and off we went for a game to set our minds to the right place, erasing any second thoughts on how the team would perform etc etc.

Been a while 🙂

Somewhere at the borders between Austria, Swizerland and Germany, in the middle of a beautiful countryside where the town of Lustenau lies just by the Rhine, we had yesterday the opportunity to have a first look (via TV of course) at the new (and improved we hope) 2015-16 FCSP, facing the local Austria. Conclusions? Are you kidding, absolutely none 🙂

A good omen for a new era 🙂

Coach Meggle’s debut was expected even from the morning with extreme anticipation not because anybody cared to extract an conclusion from his work so far ( 😀 ) but  as a good chance for a “welcome” and a chance for him to get used to the awkward feeling of sitting for the first time at the FCSP bench as a head coach. Thankfully, our host Bayer Leverkusen didn’t spoil the occasion by loading us with more goals that we could carry in our baggages on the way home, the Boys in Brown managed somehow to make us feel good (especially during the 2nd half) and at the end, everybody went home happy. This of course can’t be evaluated very seriously as a result but still seems like the best possible welcome present to the coach 🙂
