Nothing is lost – just keep on trying…

The Boys In Brown failed to get the desired result in one of the most critical missions of the season but they did it trying real hard against a better (let’s admit it) and equally motivated team, on foreign ground… A defeat alright, but with a much less bitter feeling comparing to some of our 2012 disasters, at a game that after all probably wasn’t considered as a 3 pointer inside Andre Schubert’s (which stated dissatisfied of the team performance) book…

The time has come to prove that we belong to the first league. Winning is a must against Greuther if we want to stay alive in the hunt for the first league and if we want to prove that we belong there. The match is not going to be easy. The boys in brown must be on their best shape and fully concentrated in the field and there is no room for defensive mistakes this time.

Nothing is over until Fin Bartels sings…

That’s right! Montserrat Caballé was out of town so it was the ex-Hansa Rostock (does anybody remember it? 🙂 ) midfielder who impersonated the Fat Lady in a show that turned to be one of the most thrilling, stressful (these bastards in Brown & White sooner or later are gonna kill me!) and exciting shows of the season! Fin was not the “Star” of the night though…this title should go to Marius Ebbers and for a very good reason…

Many of you might say that the match in Frankfurt went well because we managed to stand up and equalize it. The way I see it (and the way I fell about it), we run against a horse with a bad knee and we lost the race in the finish line. I have to agree with Zouz, although he thinks I’m ugly (in fact, if you see him on the beach, he looks like a cockroach in bathing suit :-)), that if we want to be competitive in the first league we have to get serious and play concentrated.

…BUT it does NOT deserve promotion…(read first!)

We’ve been through this for the entire 2012 (with only one exception: last week) so there’s very little left to be said… It’s not only about being willing – it’s also about being serious about it… and with a defensive line that today would make the Perfect joke if it wasn’t ours, one thing is certain: THIS squad is NOT serious…

Six weeks left for the end of the season and this means that there are 18 points out there and we ought to give a hell of fight in order to get them. There is no chance for the first or second place (let’s get real) and a good chance for the third. It is up to the team to make it through the battlefield. Our first opponent for this battle is FSV Frankfurt 1899 in Frankfurter Volksbank Stadion. Let’s have a peek at the past in order to get prepared on what’s coming…

This WAS Sankt Pauli! Hope only it’s not too late…

BIG game in front of almost 48.000 people (including around 5.000 Sankt Pauli fans) under a terrific football atmosphere… Not an ideal result considering the league table , not the best result considering the game flow, but (for the first time within 2012) we watched a concentrated and passionate FC Sankt Pauli squad focused on winning against a  better (at least in numbers) team.  Probably, the best FCSP match in 2012…
