The consolation gift

source: www.fcstpauli.com

People (drinking pals and other sources of wisdom) say that sometimes the last impression is all that remains of a situation. Of course, this is anything but true as a rule but under certain circumstances (like a season that we really DON’T want to remember) can be quite consolating 🙂 From this point of view, the Boys in Brown gave the best possible present to all of us (and especially the “special” train heroes 🙂 ) for a really LOUSY season by defeating (already busy thinking the 23/5 Hoffenheim affair) FC Kaiserslautern and leaving Fritz-Walter-Stadion victorious for the first time in modern history 🙂 …

Now, we CAN wake up smiling on Wednesday morning but…

A furious FCSP dismantled a…not so furious Eintracht Braunschweig and secured the league without having to worry about the forthcoming game at Kaiserslautern, thanks to the defeats of both rivals, Dynamo Dresden and Erzgebirge Aue. Everything finally (as we all deserved after such a season) went better than our best expectations, pressure released, the “special” train next week will be one of pure joy and not agony and stress, everything should be PINK 🙂 The Scum feels rather Blue instead, having on lips (along with a Deja Vu feeling in the back of the head), at the same time, the bitter-sweet taste of  both a 5-1 win over Braunschweig and the last Millerntor game of two of our last Heroes, “Super” Marius Ebbers and Florian Bruns

Prepare the torches….REALLY Black clouds ahead…

FC Sankt Pauli “survived” with a clean sheet draw at Duisburg, after a much better game than the final score suggests. It could be worse, of course – judging strictly by what happened in the pitch, draw is a result that we should be at least happy with it (such misery). Unfortunately, the way things have turned out in the league table after the late “resurrection” of Bochum and Dresden, we’re not happy… This draw may mean a lot but in the end but it can turn out not worth much either… One thing is sure…Thanks to our choices (as a Club, not as fans!) almost one year ago (birthday coming up by the way) and what followed until the summer preparation kick-off, we’re heading for a spectacular season finale, even if slightly different from what we have imagined – fasten your seat belts, Hell is coming for breakfast!

No DOM joke this time…it’s not funny even to us anymore…

Having fun in Millerntor... (source: http://www.bz-berlin.de/)

Having fun in Millerntor… (source: http://www.bz-berlin.de/)

What a waste…our criminally insane defensive behavior deprived us once more from the chance getting the invaluable, towards the race against relegation, points and securing the, supposed to already be secured, league… 2 goals in the closing 5 minutes and there goes another game, a game that we didn’t deserved actually something more than a draw out of it…Another bitter (even if it was considered more than possible before the match) loss, and here’s the 1000$ question: when you’re ahead at home, 5′ before full time and, in the end, you can’t even get a draw at of the game, in what exactly do you base your belief of staying alive except the incompetence of others?

The return of the DOM Defense…

(The saga continues!)

Another quite spicy title for the report could be “having fun with the Jackass Scum Admin” since the above words of wisdom are coming straight from the conclusion of last week’s match report titled: Job Done! Liga 2 secured! Happy Scummy People!” (Yes!!!). The, usually wiser than the Scum, reader could easily say “Fuck off lads, squad has better things to do than performing group therapies, reading your weekly match reports!”. Fair enough, the only problem is that some of these guys didn’t miss only the Scum report but they failed to take a quick look to the Liga 2 table or even listening when coach Frontzeck was talking (was he?) about their next opponent… It’s the only way to explain the fact that this young, talented and promising squad (talented not only in the field but, some of them proven, more than once during this season, extremely skilled in the use of social media as well), went and collected 3 goals from a squad that had scored before yesterday’s game only at 11 out of 29 league games and have every (sick like us!) FCSP fan nailed tomorrow in front of a TV, radio or computer, hoping that Energie Cottbus will do against Dynamo Dresden what they failed to do last week against VfL Bochum… Welcome to the magic of the (new) FC Sankt Pauli…

Fin Bartels, with a little help from Daniel “The Birthday Boy” Ginczek,  Dennis Daube (great game) and a few more (?!?) led the White & Brown gang to a relieving win over TSV 1860 München, after a game that could have been but wasn’t as easy as may seem by the final score. One way or another, job well done, even the slightest worries regarding a possible relegation risk seem vanished, all theoretically left is just play good football for the fans during the closing stage of the season!

Dynamo Dresden vs the DOM Defense…

2832020-there_is_a_lot_of_fun_at_the_Hamburger_Dom_Hamburg

It’s not about the defeat… last month we collected four at Berlin and everything was OK – squad tried it’s best, just couldn’t make it and everybody somehow satisfied… but, having the chance to sink Dynamo Dresden into the Abyss of Liga 3, being 2 goals ahead and then just throw everything in the bucket, it’s a completely different story… This was sooo fucked up…

“Phi-lipp Tscha-uner Fuß-ball Gott!!!” (and some other kinky stuff from the Viertel!)

Being at Hamburg for FCSP always means excitement. But being at the Südkurve watching Tschauner scoring on 90′ to save the day for FCSP against SC Paderborn 07 and chilling out at the Jolly watching Bayern München EVAPORATING H$V in a single weekend is really more than the Scum bargained for 🙂
