Momentum breakdown

All we needed was to keep that momentum. Fortuna was no easy case here and we knew it. Three points could easily pop em up to the first place (which eventually they did) and so they would kill for them. All we needed to do was keep a tight line on defense and hope for a good counter attack or why not a good and well organized offense. In the end we were just happy to leave Fortuna’s field defeated but decent.

Not even a scratch!

Saturday-Tuesday and Saturday again. A typical Soridon gathering for the Scum. After suffering a devastating defeat from and then coming back to victories against , we are more certain than ever that anything can happen.  With an open mind we sat, ordered and waited for the best against the first team in the ranks so far.

Who can stop this train?

No one could expect the outcome of this Friday’s matchday. Not in a million years. Soridon packed once again (including a small Athens Club delegation 🙂 ) and everyone hoped for our beloved club to earn the three points, even by stealing them if possible. But damn…Words cannot describe what  went on. Running under the sounds of rehearsals from local folk celebrations taking place just outside our door, the first whistle of the game sounded.

Digging up our own grave

Sunday-Matchday and off to the joint for the Game. Clouded day and a clouded game of course. These last games until the break need to be taken all one by one or else we will be in deep shit after. Looks like we want to, but we can’t . Who knows? I mean…Just a look at the first half is more than enough to share the drama. And after spending 4 hours (ok, it might have been 20 minutes but the frustration of not getting it right made it feel longer) along with St.John trying to set the projector in a perfect rectangle perspective for his majesty, Mr Zouzounos to watch without bending his neck at all, the first whistle sounded.

Badly played, well fought

The Boys in Brown, after throwing the first half in the bin, managed to come back at a level and leave from Esprit Arena with a draw against desperate for points Fortuna, after a game that in the end left probably none of the opponents absolutely happy – still, if anyone should feel better here, it’s probably FCSP. Regarding us, it was mostly about enjoying our squad playing only for the brown white jersey and fighting hard for it. Evening completed in the most pleasant possible way by our U23 at Hoheluft 🙂

Thy reigns supreme!!

The world shook this Monday. Not because Sankt Pauli won. No. We are getting used to that. It is true. Ewald Lienen has turned this team into a heart breaking armada. Solutions in the back and the front are available and no matter how good or bad someone is, when they play, they all work as one. But this Monday…Oh man. If someone told me what my eyes would witness as I was on my way to our joint for the game, I would tell him that his imagination needed a strain…Ok you know what…Just read below.

TITANS

Ok now, I have to find the proper words to describe last night’s majestic moments? Even the best author can’t do that. It is simple. Some things just need to be seen. I mean. How can someone take the moments we lived  yesterday, put them to paper through words and make someone understand what we witnessed for 90 minutes? In a futile attempt to make you realize what you’ve lost (those who did), I’d say that SP probably played the best game since many years. To the old ones it reminded a lot of Stani’s team. And not in a coaching manner because in this sector everything goes to Ewald. It is just that SP was once again and after maaaaany years the hunter and not the hunted. What myself, Konstantina, Bill, Marousa, Saint John  and Uncle Zouzounos witnessed yesterday was a beast jumping on prey and tearing its flesh apart until there was no more. SP was hungry. But…ok enough with the foreplay. The action holds the truth for my exaggerations. Read below and tell me if I am wrong.

Standing Proud!

A Monday evening looks better on Matchday. I mean…It really does. Now if you put with it a win or a draw or even a loss but heads up, then we’re talking about an ideal way to start the week. After the obvious improvement of the team on Meggle’s watch (at last we stopped wanting to fork our eyes out during the game!!!), the era of reconstruction has started with all our hopes for the best, but also with endless support and understanding to the hard work this man has to see through. So here we are gathered once again under ‘’Uncle Zouzounos’s’’ roof to drink some beer, watch the game and analyze, and just before all starts, the sight of Thomas Meggle and Helmut Schulte cheerfully discussing about facts and stats, gives us a big smile…
