End of round 1 with 31 😎

This will be a carefree 2nd round. FCSP completed the 1st on Saturday with a 2-0 victory over Greuther Fürth, reached 31 points (only 9 away from the magic 40 😆), guaranteeing us a remaining season free of high pressure pills, visits to the doctors and all weird stuff that happens when you’re flirting with disaster. The Boys in Brown did actually better than that. Seems that somehow we’re serious promotion play-off candidates, sharing the nomination with Union, 4 pts ahead of the remaining competition. No idea what will happen during the 2nd round but screw the future, these will be a fine Winter break 😎

Oooh yeah baby!

At fuckin last…Hallelujah. There was no other option. This was ultimatum for us and thankfully the players finally got the message. Sankt Pauli dropped on poor Greuther Fürth’s head like a 10 ton steel anvil and brought the poor bastartds to the ground not knowing what hit em. Sankt Pauli striked early leaving SpVgg with no options other than to submit to their will. Daaaamn it felt good. Just read below!

We had it coming!

It should have been sweet. It should have been us with the three points now but noooo sir. No way. We had to make our lives interesting in a bad way. Cos I don’t think there’s anyone out there that truly believed, Greuther Fürth could harm us in any way. Especially this particular Greuther Fürth whose technical director is none other than our former master of disaster, Mr Rachid Azzouzi , whose skills are brighter than the brighter star (Ooohahahahahohohoh). Their position in the ranks proves our saying (Second last). What happened in  the game proved that arrogance is a punishable sin.

All for the fun of it now!

Ok, the previous matchday set things straight as far as we were concerned in the Liga. We’re staying for good in die zweite liga, and nothing can change that now. Team showed a whole different face in this second round, making this pre-last matchday really easy. No concern on wining points. Just a lust for good football. Gathering at Soridon drinking beers (coffee for some) and the typical chit chat before the first whistle. A great emotional pre-game moment with Rainer Wulff, the Stadium speaker, who started in September 1986, ending his carreer  after 31 good years of servitude.  Whishing the best for you mate.

Big Balls bro…Big Balls!!

The day looked promising. Something in the air I don’t know. But the fact is that getting out of home this Sunday morning it kind of felt like victory. Arriving at Soridon it was good enough to see that beside the usual Scum suspects we would have two friends from the Athens club, watching the game with us. The aura was getting bigger and it got even more big with the Scum Hoodies we brought to the joint. The aura, the laughs and the memories this game brought  in mind (in the same field, with the same team, back in 2010 which was the year we earned our promotion up to Bundesliga, we crushed those bastards  with four goals from Naki, Ebbers,Takyi and Hennings) , plus…the situation we are in, made our perspective to the game pretty simple. Three points or no one leaves this place!

Back on track

It was worth the wait. Almost two months of waiting and the first thing you see is Sankt Pauli crushing poor Greuther Fürth who seemed desperate. Soridon was ready and we were ready. The technical problems of course before the game start were there just to keep the tradition that wants our balls busted before each game true. Something wrong with the sound and (the worse) the decoder needed a new verification (late edit: thanks Thomas and Nadine, right people, at the right place, at the right time 😀 ) due to the long time of inactivity but who cares. Everything solved (commentary sound got fixed on the second half), and SP reigned.

THIS IS SANKT PAULI!

Opening

A typical Sunday afternoon starts with us hanging at Soridon waiting for Sankt Pauli to swipe away the fools that thought they could walk in Millerntor just like that. Most of the S.E.S gang attended, creating a really warm atmosphere. Beers for some, frappe for others and the whistle blew for the first time.
