What’s best in life?

…to watch a game with no anxiety of counting points’n shit. Play a clear strategy and even though it didn’t work 100%, watch your team stand descent in their own field, dominating most of the game. Watch HSV suffer a shameful defeat and hear the lamentation of their ultras. Or at least this is what Conan the Barbarian would have answered had he been asked that question during the last match day.

Yeah baby! Bring it On!!!

Forzaaaa SANKT PAULI….. A train that demolishes any obstacle is what we’ve become. A split first half where both teams proved worthy and a demolishing second half with Sankt Pauli proving their winner attitude, against Bochum, in a game where the odds were against us we left with the three points of victory in our pockets. Lacking players in the basic eleven, with Miyaichi and Kalla being called to fill in the gaps, Sankt Pauli proved that we are not high in the ranks just by accident. Read below.

Finally a win at Millerntor! FCSP managed to get the 3 points, prevailing on Monday night 2-1 over VfL Bochum right at the moment when everything was looking bleak due to the consecutive bad results and the gradual annihilation of the squad in terms of personnel. No, we didn’t play world class football and towards the end of the game we gave rights to the opponent to question the outcome of a game that looked certain from the beginning of the 2nd half (certainty can apply to normal squads, no such things for FCSP 😀 ) but what matters is that we got 3 very significant 3 pts at the time we needed them the most. Let’s exhale and go home for (football and not only) holidays 😉

Taking things from where we left them

Hell Yeah! The wait is finally over. New season, new hopes, new expectations, blah blah blah, in a few words the time of the year where, while normal people are sinking for good in the Summer bliss in some Greek islands, all brown white junkies (and some of our Liga 2 colleagues I suppose 😀 ) are entering the state of fever which of course is not because of the Summer heat (especially down here we don’t give really a fuck) but clearly due to the state of our brains, operating at the red while burnt by the brown white madness 🙂 FCSP did all of us a favor and, starting from the exact same spot that last year’s incredible comeback reached to its end, prevailed over VfL Bochum at Vonovia Ruhrstadion, even though a little more difficult then expected 😉

…and they lived happily ever after 🙂

Important note: the following had been already completed in terms of text before today’s news break out, has been intentionally left in its original form, too complex to rewrite the end, let it be a witness of our yesterday’s agonies about “tomorrow” 😀

End of the road in real style for both squad and fanbase 🙂 Big performance inside, big party with more than 4.500 brown white wackos participating on the terraces, insanity at its best 😀 Absolutely deserved ending for one of the most soul exhausting seasons that we have lived the past years, comparable only with the 2014-15 drama and a weekend to remember smiling in the years to come. For anybody interested in numbers, we won 1-3 🙂

WE BELIEVE

fcsp_bochum_1617_01

The squad is totally alive! This has been seen in recent games. We believe in ourselves and will do our utmost to leave behind at least two teams behind us. I’m sure we’ll play a much better round than the first round. How much better it will be, we will see it then…

Of course, it would be much better if the statement above had been certified with the, so hardly needed yesterday, victory, squad’s attitude during these 3 weeks of December is nevertheless enough proof that (finally) the Boys in Brown have started sharing the common (at least here) belief that, yes, we’re much better than the shit extravaganza that we have managed to present during almost the entire 1st round…

Thanks to two goals from Fafa Picault, another big Himmelmann performance and a little dose of luck FCSP did the job yesterday, prevailing 2-0 over always dangerous VfL Bochum, and made another step towards securing the 4th place which of course hasn’t any serious significance but for sure is much better than chasing 16th 🙂 Keep playing you Boys in Brown, the Athens fans need you in shape on matchday 34 😀
