After 3 weeks without action, before even getting used to life without FCSP, today’s draw came to remind us that next season is already under way. SC Paderborn came out as first opponent and we must do something really stupid in order to say goodbye to the cup from August. There’s only one problem, we’re occasionally prone to stupidity in August 🙂

So What?

Ok this was tough from the beginning. Taking this game and moving on to the third round would bring fresh air to the swamp we’re in from the start of this season. . Of course someone aiming that high, against a team standing high in the Bundesliga ranks, could easily be characterized as super optimistic/delusional, considering the fact that Sankt Pauli hasn’t shown anything of worth from the beginning of the season. Hopes are hopes though and of course someone should  shut those nazi fuckers up, thinking they could come in Millerntor with an attitude (reports of Hertha nazi hools messing around with people at the station in Feldstraße). Bollocks.

Having already put through the shitty Lübeck business and having already escaped the tricky first round which tends to be the modern curse of FCSP, the perspective through which we’re facing this season’s has changed. Fiasco avoided, winning the Pokal is not the primary target anyway ( 🙂 ), everything from now on is nice to have, so, more or less, it’s back to the enjoyment of football 🙂 From this point of view, the visit of Hertha BSC towards the end of October to Millerntor is considered a first class opportunity 😉

About time…

A Friday night unlike the others. Ooh yes. Soridon was packed with Scum (sounds bad but in our case couldn’t be more awesome), and our friends from the Athens Club, all waiting to see our beloved Sankt Pauli crush those bastards from VfB Lübeck. (The shit those fuckers pulled at Schweinske cup back on 2012 will not be forgotten.)

Somewhere in the middle of the vast Summer Footballless desert (unless you call football the apparent displays of arrogance and narcissism of people like Ibrah and CR7 that, fortunately for the viewer, have occasionaly started turning to humiliation extrvaganzas or the parallel racist/facist/<add yours> blood tournaments, taking place on the French streets or….eeeeh….

Right! We had our midnight, American Style and admitedly funny at some moments draw of this season’s DFB Pokal – and guess how the temperaturelessproof ( 😀 ) balls came out…

The tradition that wants the red DFB Pokal jersey worn about once a year (something not completely unexpected after this year’s draw, result of last season’s table position) still holding well. The Boys in Brown lasted only for 45′ against a clearly much better squad and in the end submitted to Borussia Mönchengladbach and said goodbye from August to the tournament. No sweat, as a tiny Paulianer said, now we can concentrate on the league like H$V (managed to get thrown out one day earlier by  Carl Zeiss Jena), heads up and carry on boys 🙂

Here we go again 🙂 Only 3 weeks or so after the heartbreaking season finale and the new one is already here, knocking on the door. DFB Pokal draw yesterday late evening and the first candidate victim is…Borussia Mönchengladbach, coming at Millerntor sometime between the 7th and the 10th of August for a clash that, no matter who wins it, expected to be a lot of fun. Fasten your seat belts boys and girls and let’s start moving, Glory impatiently waiting around the corner 🙂

Could be Better…Could be Worse!

Tuesday with a heavy head and mid week, we started to take the road to Cargo café for our share of glory to the game of Sankt Pauli with Borussia Dortmund for the DFB-Pokal. The memories from Saturday still wet on our shoulders and of course the constant talk was on how many would we get this time. Borussia might be sucking ass in Bundesliga, but it still is a whole class above us, and of course ourselves can’t brag on being competitive on our own Liga. So heads down but always having way back on our minds that thought that maybe the boys in Millerntor would make a ‘’loose from the worst and win the best’’ miracle they’re so keen of doing. With the company of two lads from Athens club, the match starts.
