U-Turn!

Yep…That’s more like it. The team seems to be leaving the bad results behind. First the tie with Nürnberg and now winning in such severe weather conditions against Ingolstadt. At last we saw St. Pauli playing with their minds, unfolding a game play based on pure strategy. Daaaamn it felt good…

Not bad, not bad at all

Once more without a victory in Millerntor but this time was different. Having thrown in the bin already a significant amount of points, a victory over FCN who has set already one foot in the Bundesliga and scores almost always and everywhere, would be something slightly exceeding expectations. We didn’t won but we made the something extra required by stopping them and creating at the same time the opportunities to actually win this. Are we happy? Hell, we are 🙂

Ooooh C’Moooooon!!

No words. Someone has to score here. C’mon people. Wake the fuck up. This can’t be how Sankt Pauli looks after the retouch (Kauczinski for Janßen). No no no. This can’t be serious. Sankt Pauli’s pirate ship has started taking water in. Got to pay attention before this situation goes way heavier and irreversible. Read below.

Can’t beat a lucky muthafacka…(Sankt Pauli vs Fernandes 0-7!!!!)

Damn that was a long break. Or mostly felt as such. Anyway. The previous success against made it feel like we got something here. Bollocks. The curse of a home game still hasn’t left Millerntor. I mean…If you can’t win in your own field…You got problem.

Attack of the mad pirates

Back in business after the winter break in pure style, Fuckin’ Hell (especially for Dynamo 😀 ). A really smart and focused (alright, most of the time) FC Sankt Pauli had an excellent and easier than expected (at least by us) evening, inside an anything but friendly environment (anyone who has visited DDV Stadion even once knows ^^) and forced the yellow terrace mob to boo their squad and start leaving long before the final whistle. Too early to start jumping into conclusions about Kauczinski‘s new squad and stuff but certain promises were given in the pitch yesterday evening 🙂

Finally a win at Millerntor! FCSP managed to get the 3 points, prevailing on Monday night 2-1 over VfL Bochum right at the moment when everything was looking bleak due to the consecutive bad results and the gradual annihilation of the squad in terms of personnel. No, we didn’t play world class football and towards the end of the game we gave rights to the opponent to question the outcome of a game that looked certain from the beginning of the 2nd half (certainty can apply to normal squads, no such things for FCSP 😀 ) but what matters is that we got 3 very significant 3 pts at the time we needed them the most. Let’s exhale and go home for (football and not only) holidays 😉

Above all……Attitude

Debut game for Markus Kauczinski sitting on the Sankt Pauli bench. Our beloved Soridon was up for renovations (a freakin’ barbecue facility at last, right Greg??…Hahahahahahahahahaha). So anyway our joint was busy, so we visited our fellow comrades in the Athens Club , downtown, to watch the game together. Have to admit I’ve never been to their joint since a long time. Their new place in Locomotiva (moved upstairs before a huge flat screen TV)  is really exquisite I have to say. Not precisely what I’d say about the game though. Not good, not bad, it’s just that the attitude of some players seems a bit out of the team for a reason. Let me explain.

I was lucky enough to be inside Vonovia Ruhrstadion last May when Ewald Lienen named with a gesture Olaf Janßen as his successor (in fact he was nominated already some months ago), in front of a blissful guest block, during Sonderzug 2017. Now, almost 6 months later, the story ends with the worst possible ending…
