Sunshine after the storm

Header title can be read in two ways: a) as a positive development following Thursday’s chaos (more on that later) or b) (the miost important) as an indication of the things to come when this squad gets over this injury disaster that has taken place during the last months, things look bright there as well 😎

Significance of the match had already given space to the significance of things AROUND the match, already from the day before, reason?

Reason of course is not the dynamic Scum reaction (🤣🤣🤣), in case you don’t know (^ ^) and you haven’t done it yet, click the picture above. It’s about that Lowlife Bastard Cenk Sahin declaring on Instagram that he and his prayers are with his heroes and army, referring to the Turkish invasion in Syria of course… As expected, chaos occured with fans on the social media unleashing a (fair) shitstorm towards the creep and Erdogan trolls (there was some blocking activity these days) joining the party. Didn’t take long for the USP to issue a statement demanding that Sahin gets expelled from the Club with immediate effect and eventually Thursday became more about what will hapen in case there are any funny ideas about using Sahin at the game (personally I did’t think that this will happen, not even for a split second) than the game itself…

Fortunately, the club (with a slight normal delay, always waiting for the noise to settle down first) showed the same reflexes with the fans and issued a statement on Friday morning which put things in place, a statement that for everyone issued to the “style” of the Club statements made pretty clear that Sahin’s days at FCSP are over. That prick was flying Turkey at the time of the game, we understand that, due to legal complexities. terminating his contract may not be possible but we surely expect never to see him again wearing the brown white jersey. Let that twat find a squad and bring some cash or train alone until he forgets how a football match looks like. The announcement that Werder (👍🏾) will provide streaming coverage of the game that came soon afterwards signaled the return back to normal 😎

Not sooo fast, just few things needed to be said before we switch to the game itself:

Right. If people do not wake the fuck up (I’d personally like to believe that some have already done so during the recent past) it’s simply a matter of time before this happen again and again and eventually lose the plot at some point. All is said above in black and white, there have been already warning signs of our negligence on the issue. This is not the first time such a thing is happening, it’s the first time that people and Club do really something about it and this not because of our sensitive reflexes but simply because of the fact that this idiot went this time too far. This person has provoked again in the same way a couple of years ago, receiving a direct response from Legend Deniz Naki and, you know something, he’s not the first one. There have been other incidents in the past, some of them made it public but, for unknown reasons, nothing happened, others didn’t… A simple example, the brainless prominent striker of ours some years ago, going out publicly with a “Wifey” t-shirt, depicting a woman on four performing housecleaning and there are more…

No need about furherly discussing why we should furtherly scrutinize candidates for the FCSP jersey, let’s just hope that something positive will come out of this Sahin story, a serious wake up call for the Club. If something like this happens, Club knows exactly what to do in order to fix things and turn the squad to one that we can really identify with, after lots of years… 🤞🏾

Finally, to the game: will disagree with the club that considers the 12.679 attendance decent for the game, hold on here for a moment…Friendly alright but with a club coming from a superior league, the kind of club that comes to Millerntor an average of a couple of times a year (a friendly and maybe Pokal). The fact that we would have a full house today playing an average league game and not vs Werder simply beats me… Whatever, for everybody who had better things to do on Friday afternoon it was their loss eventually. Yeps, just a friendly game but I don’t think that any of them will see FCSP doing so much in the pitch in a “proper” game this season…

Anyone having a look at the squads’ strarting XI could easily understand that this would be a highly experimental game, especially for FCSP, having lots of guys that had been able to contribute nothing to little so far due to injuries being ready to go. Will not go through the game details, there are too many of them and after so much on the incident above probably nobody will bother to read them anyway 😎 Game was eventually decided thanks to a Diarra missile on 52′ that left Kapino (MVP) with absolutely no chance but this was just the cherry in the pie. FCSP dominated the game overall, especially from 25′ to 60′. More goal chances than the average FCSP brain can calculate for a single game, instead of saying more we’ll give the word to Werder trainer who said after the game “it’s good that we lost 1-0 instead of 11-3”, video below 😅

Of course, team formations and nature of the game can’t stand a detailed discussion, at least at the level we understand the game but it was really encouraging seeing people that some of them haven’t played for months playing some really creative football and doing stuff in the pitch. When and if we manage to incorporate all these people slowly coming back into the game plan, this squad will fear NO ONE in this league 😎 Veerman looks alright but he left me with the impression that he has still some work to do reagarding self confidence, all guys (Zander, Ziereis, Benatelli) looked alright in general as well.

Experience overall was a quite entertaining one, even from TV and eventually towards the end there was a point where the less than 13.000 in Millerntor sounded really like a full house. Judging by the standing ovation at the end of the game, both they and Luhukay must left Millerntor really satisfied yesterday. A good evening and a perfect use of the break, eyes now on next week’s home game vs Darmstadt. Blog partner in crime AndyChristos may consider it an easy one based on numbers but this squad is never an easy prey for nobody. Let’s focus work and play some football, recent weeks have proven that when we’re doing that, we have all the qualities to do the job as well, C’MON FCSP ☠️☠️☠️
